Manav Sharma’s Last Video

The video Manav recorded before his suicide lasted two minutes and was subsequently found by his family. Manav’s last recorded footage showed him with necklaces covering his throat as he tied another piece to the ceiling fan. He spoke directly with law enforcement personnel by voicing a sincere appeal.

“This message is for the authorities—the police, the legal system. Men need protection, too. If things continue this way, there will come a time when men won’t be left, when there will be no one left to take the blame.”

He further revealed that,

“Let me share my story, though it’s not unique. There are many like me. I discovered that my wife was involved with another man. But what can I do? It doesn’t matter anymore.”

It seemed to be an appeal; the tears from his eyes were rolling down, and he said,

“Someone please talk about men. They are lonely.”

Making an apology to his parents, he said,

“I’m sorry, Mom and Dad. But understand this—once I’m gone, everything will be fine. Everything will get better after my death. Let me go…”

Manav Sharma revealed that he had previously also attempted suicide by showing the scars on his wrist,

“I’ve always been a quitter. I have tried to end my life multiple times before.”

The video of Manav Sharma has grabbed attention, and people are now discussing the mental struggle faced by men. There is a need for societal awareness. But what about Manav? Thousands of men like him suffer in silence, battling emotional and mental turmoil. Manav’s story is not just his own; it represents many men who are struggling. But is suicide the last option?
