Followers are shocked to find the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) Twitter handle missing a blue tick. On Sunday, with just over a week until Independence Day 2023. In addition to the blue tick being gone, the thumbnail image was the Indian tricolor. Fans may have been puzzled why it occurred, but now we can see that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message was the cause.

PM Modi stated on his handle on X, “Let us change the DP of our social media accounts in the spirit of the #HarGharTiranga movement and show solidarity to this extraordinary endeavor which will further strengthen the relationship between our beloved nation and us.

‘X’ New Guidelines

The blue tick would get eliminated anytime the user changed their profile image in accordance with the new ‘X’ regulations. The good part is that it would return in three to four days. On the other hand, the grey tick is given to individuals who represent a government/multilateral organization or a government/multilateral official. Hence Modi’s grey tick was left in place even after he altered his profile photo on Sunday.

Prior to the Ireland series, which begins on August 18, it is anticipated that the BCCI would regain their blue tick. India will compete in three T20 Internationals before preparing for the upcoming Asia Cup.
