During a conversation with TalkSport, Paul talked about the upcoming events, stating that many people and fighters are in the mix. He mentioned that they have extended offers to Tommy Fury and have been engaged in negotiations with KSI for a considerable amount of time period. But he said,

“But when I knock out Nate Diaz, I think that Conor McGregor’s going to see me, want a payday, and come and get knocked out.” In boxing matches, Paul has defeated former UFC champions, Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley. Paul, a 26-year-old boxer, was primarily recognized as a YouTuber and social media influencer before taking up the sport. He has achieved great success in his short career. Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva were all defeated by Paul in his first three fights, giving him a perfect 6-0 record to begin his boxing career. It was Paul’s first loss when he lost to Tommy Fury in a split decision in February. Fury, the younger brother of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, was Paul’s first real challenger.

About Conor McGregor

McGregor has only competed in one professional boxing match, which he lost by technical knockout in the tenth round to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a significant crossover fight in 2017. The 34-year-old, who has a 22-6 career record and is a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, would undoubtedly do far better versus Paul in a fight under MMA rules. McGregor, though, has lost three of his most recent four fights, including a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 two years ago when he damaged his leg.

The general consensus is that McGregor will soon face Michael Chandler in the Octagon again, even though he hasn’t competed since that time. Given that McGregor has experience bridging many combat disciplines, a showdown with Paul may be intriguing, provided a substantial financial incentive.
