Israel has an unclear intention of targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities in the recent retaliation for the Iranian ballistic strikes this Tuesday. It is hard to tell if Israel will use the anniversary of Hamas on October 7; this was what the top US State Department official told CNN on Friday.
Will Israel Strike Iran’s Nuclear Sites?
“We hope and expect to see some wisdom as well as strength, but as you guys know, no guarantees,” this statement was made by an official when CNN asked if Israel has assured the US that Iran’s nuclear sites are off the table.

Iran began firing 181 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday night, setting off air raid alarms across Israel and compelling nearly 10 million Israeli citizens to take refuge in shelters. What All Happened?
Although a majority of the missiles were intercepted and eliminated, there were isolated incidents of destruction. Two people were wounded by shrapnel in Tel Aviv, while in Jericho, one Palestinian was killed by debris from one of the missiles, according to AFP. The Israeli military declared that the immediate danger of airstrike had vanished within the hour, and people residing in shelters were let out.
Key American officials have come out in support of Israel and the country’s reaction to the Iran missile attack the other day. Everyone has a right to defend himself; I think every state has the right to defend itself. As for what the reaction of Israel will be, of course, there needs to be some kind of reaction to Iran over this attack.
However, Joe Biden has opposed Israel’s idea of targeting nuclear facilities. We have to wait and watch to see the next action from Israel.
