Japan’s Miyazaki
The Miyazaki mango was first cultivated in Miyazaki, in the Kyushu region of Japan. It often weighs above 350g and contains 15% or more sugar. Long, sunny days with enough warm rain are necessary for the cultivation of this type. In Japan, this fruit with a ruby red tint is known as “Egg of the Sun” or Taiyo-no-Tamago.
A kind of “irwin” mango called “Miyazaki” differs from the yellow “pelican mango” that is often cultivated in Southeast Asia. Being high in antioxidants, it contains folic acid and beta-carotene.

A local peasant had planted this Japanese mango variety two years prior, and it was recently discovered growing in a mosque compound in Dubrajpur in the Birbhum region of West Bengal. One of those items costs Rs. 10,600.

Sankalp Singh Parihar and Rani Parihar’s 12-acre farm in Jabalpur rose to fame last year for its Miyazaki mango plantings.
The world’s most costly mangoes grew on two trees, despite the fact that Sankalp’s garden has 14 distinct varieties of mangoes planted there. Sankalp had sent out four guards and six dogs to protect them because of this.
A Bright Red Mango
This mango type is most commonly grown during the peak harvest season, which runs from April to August. The mango undergoes a fascinating transition as it ripens, changing from purple to a blazing crimson.
According to the Times of India, Samarendra Nath Khanra, West Bengal’s state horticulture deputy director, said, “..the Miyazaki variety.. is one of the top-rated mangoes in terms of beauty, price, weight, aroma, and taste.”
