On Wednesday, April 27, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is launched at the Xiaomi Next event in India. With a 120Hz E5 AMOLED display, triple back cameras, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, the new Xiaomi flagship competes with the OnePlus 10 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22. The Xiaomi 12 Pro also has up to 12GB of RAM, as well as 120W fast wired and 50W fast wireless charging. In India, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is also launched as the company’s newest tablet. A 2.5K+ display, Dolby Atmos audio, and an octa-core Snapdragon 860 SoC are all included in the upgraded edition.

Xiaomi is now running an initial deal in which the Xiaomi 12 Pro is available for Rs. 4,000 off. Customers who purchase the phone with an ICICI Bank card or through EMI will receive an Rs. 6,000 discount.

Display

The dual-SIM (Nano) Xiaomi 12 Pro runs Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top and has a 6.72-inch WQHD+ (1,440×3,200 pixels) E5 AMOLED display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz and is based on the second-generation LTPO technology. The display also has Dolby Vision and HDR10+ compatibility, as well as a peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits. A Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protects it. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with an Adreno 730 GPU and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi 12 Pro features a triple back camera system with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 main sensor and an f/1.8 lens with optical image stabilization (OIS). A 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter are also included in the camera arrangement.

The rear camera system can record up to 8K video at 24 frames per second. Xiaomi ProFocus, Portrait Night Mode, Portrait HDR, and Photo Clones are among the features included. Xiaomi ProFocus motion tracking focus, Ultra Night Video, One-Click AI cinema and Cinematic video filters are among the video recording capabilities.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor with an f/2.45 lens on the front for selfies and video chats.

 

Connectivity

The Xiaomi 12 Pro has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, Infrared (IR) blaster, NFC, and a USB Type-C connector for connectivity. An accelerometer, ambient light, barometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors onboard. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the touchscreen.

 

Battery

A 4,600mAh Li-Polymer battery powers the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which enables 120W Xiaomi Hypercharge rapid wired charging. Quick Charge 4, Quick Charge 3+, and Power Delivery 3.0 charging technologies are also supported by the phone. It also comes with 50W Wireless Turbo Charging.

 

Specifications

The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone weighs 205 kilos and measures 163.6×74.6×8.16mm.

 

Pricing

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is priced at Rs. 62,999 in India for the basic 8GB RAM variant. The phone is also available in a 12GB RAM edition, which costs Rs. 66,999.

 

Colors

The Xiaomi 12 Pro will be available in three colors: Couture Blue, Noir Black, and Opera Mauve, and will go on sale on May 2 at 12 PM.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 has a 10.95-inch 2.5K+ (2,560×1,600 pixels) display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate, and it runs Android 11 with MIUI 13 for Pad. Dolby Vision and DCI-P3 color gamut are also supported by the panel. It offers a pixel density of 275 pixels per inch and a peak brightness of 650 nits. The Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, as well as an Adreno 640 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The tablet has a 13-megapixel camera sensor on the rear that can capture 4K video at 30 frames per second. Document scanning is also possible using the back camera in original, enhanced, and black-and-white modes.

 

Camera

The Xiaomi Pad 5 includes an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the front for video conversations. It can record full-HD (1080p) video at 30 frames per second. According to the company, there is also dual-microphone noise suppression to decrease ambient noise and improve the speaker’s audio.

The gadget comes with a Xiaomi Smart Pen that supports magnetic wireless charging and has a pressure sensitivity of 4,096 levels. Xiaomi has also placed a Smart Note algorithm on the tablet, which is said to help recognize shapes and text, as well as compensate for tracking losses caused by latency. A Xiaomi Pen Engine is also included, which provides low latency with the included stylus.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 has an 8,720mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging. The included charger, on the other hand, supports a 22.5W output. On a single charge, the tablet’s built-in battery is said to provide over 16 hours of movie playback.

 

Pricing

The Xiaomi Pad 5, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 26,999 for 128GB of storage and rises to Rs. 28,999 for 256GB of storage. However, till May 7, the Xiaomi Pad 5 will be available at a special introductory price of Rs. 24,999 for the 128GB model and Rs. 26,999 for the 256GB model.

 

Color

The tablet will be available in Cosmic Gray starting at 12 p.m. on May 3 on Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home shops, and select offline retailers. To go along with the Pad 5, Xiaomi has also released the Pad Keyboard. The detachable keyboard, on the other hand, is presently unknown if it will be included with the tablet or sold separately.

Xiaomi OLED Vision TV has MEMC technology and a 10-bit display. It will also get the IMAX Enhanced certification. It also has Dolby Vision IQ technology, which improves image quality. HDR 10+ is, of course, supported. Xiaomi’s proprietary Vivid Picture engine is included. It has an 8-speaker driver system and a 1.8-liter speaker cavity. The TV also supports Dolby Atmos for a more immersive audio experience. The speakers on the TV are 30 watts. It has a quad-core A73 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage for improved performance. It has a variety of connectors, including an HDMI 2.1 port. Xiaomi OLED Vision also features a headphone jack. WiFi is included in the package. The TV comes with Google Assistant and two far-field microphones.

Xiaomi OLED Vision TV 55 inch will be available for ₹89,999 starting May 19. Xiaomi TV 5A will be available in three sizes, 32, 40, and 43 inches starting at ₹13,499, ₹20,999, and ₹23,999 respectively from April 30.
