Yashasvi Jaiswal is in incredible form in the IPL 2023. After scoring a hundred in this IPL, he has now scored the fastest IPL 50. In a match against KKR vs. RR, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 98 in 47 balls and completed his half-century in just 13 balls. It is the fastest 50 in the Indian Premier League. But success does not come overnight. His struggling story is an inspiration to millions.
Well, one good opportunity can change lives if that is appropriately utilized. And opportunities don’t knock on our doors every day. Furthermore, if we struggle hard to achieve something, the universe will provide a chance to fulfill our dreams. And not everyone can keep going amidst all difficulties. Only a few strong-hearted deterministic people move forward to achieve their dreams, whatever the situations come in between. Only those people will make it to the list of successful people.
If you say getting admission to a top college, getting a high paid job, and getting married are successful things, then I say you misunderstood the concept of success. In addition, Yashasvi Jaiswal has set an example for those who dream big.
Yashasvi Jaiswal Inspirational Story
Yashasvi Jaiswal is the son of a small shopkeeper Bhupendra Jaiswal in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, and Kanchan Jaiswal, a housewife. He moved to Mumbai at the age of 11 with a dream of representing his nation in cricket one day. In Mumbai, he met his uncle Santosh who was a manager of the Muslim United Club. In addition, As Santosh’s house wasn’t big enough for another occupant, so he requested the club owners to allow the boy to stay in a tent.
Yashasvi Jaiswal lived with groundsmen in the Muslim United Club’s tent at the Azad Maidan ground in Mumbai for three years. He said,
“This was after I was asked to leave the dairy at Kalbadevi. After playing cricket the entire day, I would get tired and go to sleep. One day, they threw out my luggage, saying I do nothing, don’t help them, and only sleep.”
He used to train hard in the morning and sleep in the tent along with the groundsmen of the club at the Azad Maidan ground in Mumbai. Since he struggled to make ends meet, he started selling pani-puri during Ram Leela and selling fruits to earn a living. In addition, Jaiswal also used to play matches with older boys to earn Rs 200-300 per week.
“I always used to see boys my age bringing food or their parents had big lunches with them. As for me, it was — khana khud banao, khud khao. (make your own food, eat alone). No breakfast. Catch hold of anyone around and request them to buy breakfast.”
In addition, living in Mumbai with an earning of Rs 200-300 per week is impossible. So he had to sleep on an empty stomach many times.
“During Ram Leela, I earned well. I prayed that my teammates would not come there for pani-puri. Sometimes they did and I would feel bad serving them.”
Mumbai U-19 coach Satish Samant recognized Yashasvi Jaiswal’s talent. Satish Samant said,
“He has this ability to read a bowlers mind and adapt to a situation. Most under-19 players get tempted to play too many shots too early. He does not. The other thing is, he does not have a smartphone, is not on WhatsApp. This is rare for a teenage cricketer these days. He is cut off from social media. He has talent and if he keeps focus like this, he will be next big from Mumbai player.”
Yashasvi Jaiswal Rises To Success
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s hard work has paid off. He became the youngest cricketer to score a double hundred in List A cricket in October 2019. In the 2020 U-19 Cricket World Cup, he was the tournament’s leading run-scorer. He has also scored a century against arch-rivals Pakistan in the semi-final encounter. However, his talent has been scouted by the Rajasthan Royals franchise.
They bought him at Rs 2.4 crore. In the 2022 IPL, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been retained at Rs 4 crore. He has had a tremendous domestic season recently. In the IPL 2023, Yashasvi Jaiswal is among the highest run scorers and is in the race to win the orange cap. We will surely see this young man playing for Team India very soon. He will be the next big thing for the Indian Cricket.
